Through Their Eyes: Institutional Funding as BIPOC Nonprofit Leaders

Published: March 13, 2026

Nonprofit organizations are vital contributors to community well-being, connection, safety, and belonging. Many Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) led organizations carry that work while navigating resource scarcity, heightened scrutiny, and structural barriers that limit access to funding opportunities.
