NAACPGR Juneteenth Film Screening 6/19/22

In celebration of Juneteenth The Greater Grand Rapids NAACP is hosting a FREE film screening of Recipe for Change: Amplifying Black Voices which is a Daytime Emmy Award-Nominated series produced by The SpringHill Company owned by Lebron James. Each episode of Recipe for Change gathers celebrities, chefs, activists and creators around the dinner table for necessary conversations. Third installment, “Recipe for Change: Amplifying Black Women,” centers on the powerful stories and experiences of Black women, and celebrates their perseverance and strength while making space for joy and the power of sisterhood. Each table brings together powerful women including Mary J. Blige, Saweetie, Tabitha Brown, Chlöe Bailey, Winnie Harlow, Kelly Rowland, Jackie Aina, Keisha Lance Bottoms, Roxane Gay, Sarah Jakes Roberts and more to discuss important and timely topics such as codeswitching, colorism, and mental health. Following the film we will have a panel discussion featuring black women who are making an impact locally. The is a FREE family event open to all ages.
